Salary Range:            Grade E - SCP15, £22,911 per annum

Hours/Contract:         Full-time, permanent contract: 37 hours per week

The Role: We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker who will be responsible for ensuring that all our facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing a pleasant environment in which students and staff can work and learn.  The Caretaker will be a key-holder and must be willing to be called out at any time should an emergency arise. 

The Person:  The successful candidate will have experience of carrying out general building, grounds repairs and maintenance tasks, with the capacity to prioritise a wide range of duties. They will also need a clear understanding of both security issues and Health & Safety requirements in respect of all areas of school life.  Flexibility and team working are essential attributes. 

School Background:  UTC Plymouth is part of Reach South Academy Trust.  We are currently a unique 13 – 19 College that focuses on STEAM subjects by working closely with our industrial partners such as Babcock, PMG and the Royal Navy.  We work hard to support our students who routinely progress onto apprenticeships, higher apprenticeships, university or employment.​

Trust Background:  Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.  We operate 14 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire.
