Location: The Springfields Academy, Curzon Street, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0DS
Salary Range: Grade B - SCP2, £18,198 pro rata per annum
Hours/Contract: Term time only, part-time, Permanent contract: 16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
The Role: We are seeking to appoint a catering assistant to assist in the preparation of the dining area, serving lunch and clearing the area after lunch. All our staff are autism practitioners and consider the needs of our pupils within their role.
The Person: The successful candidate will need to be reliable, flexible and happy to work as part of a small dedicated team. You will need to have a commitment to developing your understanding of autism to support your role.
School Background: The Springfields Academy is a Reach South Academy for young people aged 5-19 with autism. We have 170 pupils attending our Calne site and 40 pupils at our Satellite provision in Salisbury. Our goal is to build safe independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement.
Springfields is a fantastic, vibrant and caring community that engages pupils and develops positive attitudes to learning. Our autism approach is accessed by all our pupils and is personalised to meet specific needs. All our pupils have an education, health and care plan.
Trust Background: Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 14 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire.
