Finance Assistant

Reach South Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Finance Assistant to join its Shared Service Centre based in Plymouth.

Location:                    Reach South Shared Service Centre, UTC Plymouth

Salary Range:            circa £17,500 per annum

Hours/Contract:         Permanent Contract: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

The Role:  The Finance Assistant is a member of the Shared Services Centre, responsible for the efficient and effective processing of purchase ledger related transactions for all schools in the trust.  The role will report into the Lead Finance Assistant and will encompass a variety of duties that will be rotated. These include daily processing of transactions, regular review of open items on the ledgers and addressing any queries and issues. The post-holder will interact with many different stakeholders including third party suppliers, customers, academy staff, the Trust’s Executive team and Trustees.

Background:  Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.  We operate 13 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire
