Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join the school in September 2020. 

Post:                           Early Years Learning Support Assistant

Start Date:                  September 2020

Location:                    Parkfield Academy, Hurn, Christchurch, BH23 6DF

Salary Range:            Grade 3, SCP 4-6 - £18,426 rising to a maximum of £19,171 pro rata per annum

Hours/Contract:         Term-time only, Part-time, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Fixed-term; end date dependent on the return                                       of the post-holder

The Person:  The position of LSA is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and compassionate individual to lead lessons, interventions and support our learners in a wide range of subjects across the curriculum. We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

  • To have a good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with this need.

  • To have knowledge and understanding of social, emotional & mental health needs and cognitive needs, that affect children and young people’s development.

  • Excellent listening skills

  • An ability to build strong, trusting relationships

  • To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning

  • Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities

  • To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies
