Salary Range: Grade 3, SCP 4-6, £18,933 rising to a maximum of £19,698 per annum, pro rota depending on experience and performance
Hours/Contract: Term-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract until 31 August 2021, 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks a year
The Role: We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teaching assistant to join the Early Years team at Malmesbury Park Primary Academy.
The role involves working closely with several children who have EHCP in place as well as providing support to the wider school community as required. Part of the role will entail developing strong relationships with parents, carers and children alike. You may act as a Key Person for a small group of children with high needs, taking responsibility for their social and emotional wellbeing and their learning throughout their time with us.
The Person: The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly and outgoing. They will have an enthusiasm for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. They will have a talent for engaging with sometimes complex children, encouraging social interaction, developing independence, self esteem and encouraging all individuals to achieve their goals.
The right person will be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and understanding complex special educational needs. A qualification to support children with high needs would be helpful.
