Location: Goosewell Primary Academy, Goosewell Road, Plymouth, PL9 9HD
Salary Range: Grade C - SCP5-7, £19,312 rising to a maximum of £20,092 pro rata per annum, subject to experience
Hours/Contract: Term-time only, part-time, Temporary contract until 31 August 2021: 17 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
The Role: We are seeking to appoint two Teaching Assistants to work throughout our primary school.
The Person: This role would suit a graduate or an aspiring teacher; experience is not necessary, however, we do expect the following:
• GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent
• Treat pupil’s with dignity, building relationships with mutual respect
• Have an ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
• Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, be adaptable and open to new ideas and practices
• Able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Emotionally resilient and self-aware
• Be driven by a passion and commitment to inclusive education and raising standards for all
School Background: Goosewell Primary Academy is a member of the Reach South Academy Trust. At Goosewell, we have over 500 children on roll from Reception to Year 6.
Trust Background: Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education. We operate 14 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset and Wiltshire.
