Thomas Hall Students Set for Series of ‘Unforgettable Experiences’

Thomas Hall School has made a new and ambitious 16 by 16 enrichment promise to its students this term.

The Exeter school, has vowed to give every child the opportunity to take part in 16 named activities by the time they turn 16.

The experiences on offer range from cultural trips to London and days out at the beach,to camping adventures, professional sports fixtures and live performances. They will also include local day trips, outdoor pursuits, sustainability projects and community causes.

The 16 by 16 promise will culminate in a dedicated ‘Enrichment Week’, scheduled to take place in the summer term.

Thomas Hall School is committed to giving students meaningful experiences beyond the classroom and taking full advantage of its six-and-a-half acre site in an area of natural beauty on the outskirts of the city. Earlier this term, the school announced an expansion to its forest school provision, allowing students to take part in hands-on outdoor learning experiences every week.

Thomas Hall School is delighted to invite families to a Stay & Play Open Day on Wednesday 10th December, from 3:45pm to 4:30pm, for those looking to join the school’s Reception year in September 2026. This event offers an opportunity for parents and children to experience first-hand what makes Thomas Hall School such a special place to learn and grow.

Visitors will be able to explore the school’s facilities, meet the dedicated Early Years team, and ask any questions about the school’s nurturing and engaging approach to early education. You can book a place here.

Phil Arnold, Headteacher of Thomas Hall School, said:

“At Thomas Hall, we believe great learning doesn’t just happen inside the classroom. Our 16 by 16 promise is much more than a list of trips and activities, it’s a pledge to give every Thomas Hall student the opportunity to push the boundaries of what they can achieve. Along the way, we’ll create some unforgettable memories together.”
