High Street Academy Enjoyed Fire Service Safety Education Day

High Street Academy had an exciting and educational visit from the local fire service. Firefighters spent time with Year 2 and Year 5 pupils, delivering engaging sessions about fire safety and the importance of staying alert in emergencies.
Year 2 took their learning outside as part of their ongoing topic on The Great Fire of London. This was the practical element of their studies, giving them a hands-on experience to connect history with real-life safety lessons.
After the classroom talks, the fire service led a whole-school assembly, sharing practical tips and advice to help students keep themselves and those around them safe. The presentation covered essential safety measures, from what to do in case of a fire to how to prevent accidents at home.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn directly from professionals who work every day to protect the community. The fire service team emphasised the importance of quick thinking, responsible actions, and knowing emergency procedures.
High Street Academy thanked the fire service for their time and dedication to educating young people about safety.
