Parkfield
Dear Colleagues,
At the end of July, Parkfield School in Bournemouth will officially close its doors for the final time. Since joining the Reach South Academy Trust in 2018, the school has been proud to serve its community and support the learning journeys of so many young people.
Our final cohort of Year 11 students completed their GCSEs in June, and all arrangements are in place to ensure they receive their results and certificates. We are incredibly grateful to the schools and teams who have helped manage the transition - safeguarding student records, storing important documents, and handling school resources with care.
This final year has been a bittersweet one, but every effort has been made to ensure a smooth and respectful closure. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who has supported Parkfield School throughout this journey. Your dedication and hard work have ensured that the school’s final chapter has been handled with professionalism and compassion.
The school will have many memories for students, staff and parents/carers as well as the wider community. Those memories will stay despite the school closing.
For this year group of students who were the final year group, we celebrated their achievements with a trip to Thorpe Park and a prom where we saw them in all their finery.
These students’ achievements are representative of all of the former students of Parkfield. Wherever you are, we wish you well in all that you do.
